Measuring ROI
There are a number of ways to look at the ROI you can expect to get from upgrading in accordance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct) standards:
- Tax incentives provided by EPAct 2005: use our EPAct Opportunity Calculator or take an Energy Saving Tour to get an idea of the kind of money you can expect to save through upgrading your lighting systems and/or controls—as much as $1.80 per square foot of compliant space.
- Increased energy efficiency: Switching to energy-efficient lighting can reduce energy consumption—and costs—by 25-50%, which can means hundreds of thousands of dollars. This kind of savings means that upgrades can pay for themselves in as quickly as eighteen months.
- Beat rising energy costs: Switching to more efficient lighting helps to protect you from steadily rising energy costs.
